President General of Uganda Liberal Teachers‘ Union (ULITU)

This is serious, we need to make our message clear; lockdown should not equal exploitation of workers, especially Teachers!! Why decline meeting Union leaders, for example?!!? I think, by all available means, Unions globally, must not accept to be „locked up“ as the lockdown adversely affect our workers!! In Uganda Liberal Teachers Union ULITU, in Uganda, we are agitating for the Union ULITU to be directly represented on the National ant COVID 19 Task Force, to ensure National support to adversely affected Teachers are not sidelined. Unions are Voluntary Organizations for social justice, that can’t be left out in times of crisis, like under this pandemic!!
