PREAMBLE
WE, the duly recognized representatives of the International Students Council (ISC), united in our rich diversity of cultures, experiences, and geopolitical affiliations, and guided by a shared vision of inclusive, equitable, and democratic student governance.
RECOGNIZING the urgent necessity for a coordinated, organized, and legitimate voice to advance and defend the political, academic, social, and economic interests of international
students across schools, universities, countries, and global regions;
AFFIRMING our commitment to the principles of democracy, student agency, global cooperation, and solidarity in addressing the challenges faced by international learners;
ACKNOWLEDGING the transitional nature of this charter and the imperative to work toward a comprehensive, inclusive, and permanent constitutional order;
WE RESOLVE to uphold the provisions contained herein with integrity, transparency, and accountability, and to govern ourselves in a manner that strengthens representation, amplifies marginalized voices, and builds a just, accessible, and thriving international student community.
DO HEREBY, give ourselves this Constitution as a foundational legal and institutional framework to guide our affairs during this formative and tran- sitional phase.
