General Secretary Bangladesh Shangiukto Garments Sramik Federation
Dear
Fellow participants
Please accept my heartfelt greetings.
A new beginning of a non-discriminatory and humane democratic Bangladesh was marked in Bangladesh through a mass uprising on August 5, 2024. The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has taken power as a new democratic government through the successive February 12, 2026 parliamentary elections. Heartiest greetings and congratulations to the government led by the current Prime Minister, Mr. Tarique Rahman. We hope that the people of Bangladesh will be able to fully enjoy the rule of law with human rights, fair labor prices, and the rule of law. Bangladesh will play a special role in promoting human rights and peace in the outside world. The world is now witnessing a situation that is gradually heading towards a humanitarian disaster, especially in the Middle East countries. The geopolitical and economic competition of various countries including Russia-Ukraine, Iran-America, Palestine, Israel has reached a deadly weapons game. As a result, we are seeing signs of the Third World War. Children, women, youth, and the elderly are being harmed by the show of power of the superpowers. A turbulent world, increasing poverty rates, and unsafe lives of children and women are taking a serious turn for the worse. Its impact is widespread in middle- income and low-income countries. We believe that it is important to take initiatives to play a special role for the United Nations and international humanitarian organizations. The use of nuclear and chemical weapons in war not only harms humanity, but also causes long-term and terrible natural and environmental damage, including animals, birds, plants and nature. I want to say that under the leadership of the UN, WCL, Polytechnic, the world needs to be called upon to unite to establish peace. Stop the war activities. The independence and sovereignty of each country is the internal matter of that country. If humanitarian issues occur in any country, it should be resolved through the UN. The superpowers use the UN as they wish and the need for all countries to strictly ad here to international law equally, the UN needs to be made stronger. In order for any country to take action on regional, territorial, trade, arms, economic and international law issues, it is necessary to obtain UN approval through a vote of UN members. Our goal is a peaceful, secure world with human welfare without discrimination on the basis of race, religion, color, or class. As the world is increasing in technological use, the unemployment rate is increasing. To protect the independence of one’s own motherland, the country, more emphasis is being placed on making or buying deadly weapons. Bangladesh is a country of universal human wealth. Bangladesh has low education but the poverty rate is very high. That is why the owner classes use the working people as they wish.
Recently, through the disappearance and partial disclosure of hundreds of Epstein files, the world has come to know about a barbaric incident. Sexual harassment of innocent women and children, eating them with soap and water is not something we can imagine. There are names of world celebrities who participated in this incident. They are the leaders of the world and the peddlers of humanity. If the Elephants‘ Union can set an example by taking strong steps without being influenced, the United Nations will be a successful institution internationally. I do not have the opportunity to express any kind of language to protest and express hatred for this heinous crime. Even if Jeffrey Epstein comes out in the open in sex trafficking, such criminal acts still exist in the world. Many more people are directly or indirectly involved in such crimes in different ways. I think the United Nations should form an international human rights protection force to find out those who commit such criminal acts. The members of the international human rights protection force will be members of human rights intelligence agencies from different countries of the world, as well as people from different professions. It is a neutral, independent, special-purpose force under the United Nations, which will be able to provide justice and peace based on evidence. Therefore, in today’s forum, I appeal to the Polytechnic, WCL and above all the United Nations for all kinds of cooperation for the development of education, human rights, and democracy. We want to see a peaceful, habitable, and humane world for the entire world. May the future be a safe, human rights-based world.
