In this twenty-first century, whenthe time has come for globalizationand especially the dominance ofstrong nations on the socalled weakones; for the General Association ofPupils and Students of Côte d’Ivoire(AGEECI), it seems more than ap-propriate that the student world atthe global level harmonise their energy for great victories. On this count, the establishment of the International Council of Students (ISC) presentsitself as a glimmer of hope that ourorganization calls for with all his wishby supporting the initiative.
The general objective that we can propose as a result is that the ISC brings together and unites students from all nations in the defence of their material and moral interests, without complacency.
As secondary objectives, the ISC should be:
• A tool for students to fight for better living and study conditions in the world,
• Fight for freedoms and de- mocracies in the student world or university
• To foster cooperation and mobility between its different members and above all
• To promote the right to education for all
This Council, for us, must be open to all countries whereby student unions/associations can express the desire develop a sense of belongingness . For AGEECI, it is by being in solidarity and united that we can win great battles.
As for the way in which decisions will be taken in the Council, we propose democracy through absolute majority. It must have a zonal representativeness. To put continental or zone offices on each continent. And finally, to have an international board of directors led by an International Secretary General elected as per the model of Organization of Nations (UN)
