The global working class must be the guarantee of the peace – Müslüm Kabadayı

After transitioning from the hunter-gatherer stage to the producer stage, humankind made advances in agriculture and livestock breeding beginning in the Neolithic era. Sedentism, which gave rise to relations of production and, subsequently, to the creation of villages and, more later, cities, has driven the development of civilizations. According to the information available today, over the course of approximately 13,000 years, human creative and productive capacities have evolved to the present stage, in which digital relationships have become widespread. The transition from mechanization, which began with the industrial revolution in capitalist society, to the use of artificial intelligence thanks to the development of digital technology has created significant opportunities in scientific research, education, and healthcare However, due to the use of digital technology in areas that are increasingly difficult to control, such as weaponry, humanity has faced great dangers and threats in vital matters such as the protection of nature and human life, the security of societies, and the maintenance of peace. Therefore, the possibility of living a life in conditions of equality and freedom is a fundamental issue not only for the future of human beings, but for that of all living beings on the planet.

War is the greatest threat to the future of all living beings in nature, especially that of human beings. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, even though its reason for existence had disappeared, NATO expanded its power not only in the military sphere, but also in the political, economic, and diplomatic spheres; consequently, due to the military agreements and decisions made for warlike purposes at its summit held in Ankara on July 7 and 8, 2026, the restructuring of the United Nations and the relocation of its bodies have taken on vital importance. Our effort to launch an international campaign to relocate the UN headquarters from New York (U.S.) is an important first step, however, alongside the reasons that justify it, reforming the structure of the UN Security Council is far more important and urgent. Since its creation on October 24, 1945, the UN Security Council has been the subject of debate, particularly due to the existence of the 5 permanent members and the fact that they use their veto rights to further their own interests, rather than to ensure global peace and security. The UN, which since 1991 has been subject to the imperialist coalition led by the U.S., has come to be commonly referred to as the “Un-United Nations.”

For approximately 35 years, our world and humanity have been immersed in an increasingly insecure situation, in which wars and massacres have become common, nature is being plundered, and all living beings are deprived of their right to life, leading us toward a future without perspective. It is well known that, in particular, the resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council, based on the provision of Article 25 of the UN Charter, which is binding on all members, have caused serious problems due to their abstract and impositive nature. The dangerous process initiated after UN Security Council Resolutions 1373 and 1540, driven by the policies of the U.S. and, consequently, NATO, with the invasions of Iraq  and Libya, the war between Ukraine (U.S. + EU) and Russia, the genocide in Gaza (Palestine), and the U.S. and Israeli  attack on Iran, is exposing humanity to the threat of a 3rd World War. In the face of this threat from global capitalism, imperialist states, and arms manufacturers, the only guarantee for life and peace is the global working class, the only force that, through its labor, contributes to the progress of life. The most important productive forces are, in essence, the working class and its labor, and they must set out, without further delay, to demonstrate this power through their internationalist organization, especially within the UN. Our response to those who wish to debate the legitimacy of this position should be as follows: Those who beat the drums of war are a small minority of the world’s population, while the global working class consists of billions of people. It is the most legitimate force to invoke all the provisions of Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter regarding the protection of nature and life, for the future of humanity. If necessary, it will also be able to demonstrate this power of will through representative action.

It is necessary for the unions, associations, cooperatives, chambers, collectives, and councils that bring together the global working class, without distinction between white-collar and blue-collar workers, or between intellectual and manual labor, to mobilize to change the structure of the UN Security Council in order to guarantee, in the truest sense, world peace and security. Our first demand must be to be represented there. The legal basis for this representation lies in the fact that it is the force that creates all the values in the world. Therefore, this campaign’s fundamental purpose is to assert that the right to lead an egalitarian and free life, without renouncing the values that have been created, is the most natural right of the global working class. This will also strengthen the spirit of the giant that has been asleep for nearly 40 years, so that it may awaken and fight for a better world and an equal and free future.

It is a fundamental human responsibility and duty to launch a campaign that accelerates the working class awareness that the imperialist states and international monopolies, which until now have divided and exploited them along lines of religion, creed, nationality, and borders, and have turned them against one another, are a plague on humanity and nature.
